Another Forum inAgile meeting took place last week. The topic this time was Modifying Scrum in Practice. And, we had the honor of hosting this meeting on RWS Moravia premises! The idea of bringing this meeting to our place came from Robert Šilar and we are glad he thought of it.
This meeting confirmed for us that there is more than one way, and certainly more than one correct way, to practice Agile. Each company has their own context, culture and needs.
Robert Chudý presented the specifics about and possible deviations from Vanilla Scrum on behalf of our Scrum team. He spoke about three possible planning modes and their impacts. Other speakers were Pavel Kechajov from Mavenir and Michal Krajíček from Kentico. They also let us take a peek at their processes and presented a summary of their strategy, achievements and lessons from what failed. Pavel’s talk was about the use of Scrum in a company without an overall Agile business model, or implementing Scrum within the Agile brand of a non-Agile corporation. Michal talked about his company’s change from Scrum to Hypergrowth.
Thank you for the great presentations, sharing of experiences and useful discussions.
